The diploma thesis is focused on describing the issue of 3D printing. In the introductory research, the thesis describes the history of their creation, distribution and description of the methods used, including newly emerging trends. Metal printing methods and their uses in design, mechanical engineering and medicine are described in more detail. Discussion about the influence of LSP technology on inner porosity of metal printed samples is included in the work. In the next part of the work, we move on to our own laboratory work, where we find a detailed documented procedure, the selection of materials and the result of the measurement. Measuring was undertaken on samples made out of stainless steel and scanned using computer tomography. The samples were made using three different printing technologies and thus the work is concluded by comparing and evaluating the measured values of individual methods.
