This bachelor thesis is focused on an overview of legal regulations that affect the implementation of medical exposure in medical practice. The theoretical part describes the origin of radiation protection and the history of legislation related to radiation protection, where I deal with the history and development of radiation protection, then important personalities and discoveries that contributed to the development of radiation protection, and finally the development of radiation protection in the Czech Republic and the world. The next theoretical part describes the radiation protection legislation and in it I deal with health legislation in general, the development and history of radiation protection legislation, the current form of legislation in the Czech Republic and the European Union and the International Commission on Radiation Protection. The penultimate part describes the profession and education of radiological assistants, from the profession of radiological assistant before the Second World War and to the present. The last part describes the informed consent and its form. The practical part shows a demonstration of legislation in practice, the effectiveness of the Atomic Act and a description of informed consent in the Fakultní nemocnice Plzeň, where informed approvals for various examinations from various workplaces (magnetic resonance, administration of iodine contrast agent, mammography and angiographic examination) are described. In the next part, questionnaires were created, which should show the satisfaction of radiological assistants with the legislation used in medical exposure. The results are based on the questionnaire method and I processed its results into tables and graphs.
