Když Češi budovali Bulharsko. Působení českých inženýrů, architektů a stavitelů v bulharských zemích (1870-1918)

Abstract

Disertační práce shrnuje základní poznatky výzkumu autora, kterému se věnoval na Fakultě stavební ČVUT v Praze. Téma působení českých architektů a inženýrů v Bulharsku (1870-1918) nebylo dosud systematicky prozkoumané a v českých odborných kruzích málo známé. Čeští specialisté se zasloužili nejen o rozvoj infrastruktury a první úpravy měst, které předznamenaly nástup moderního plánování, ale také o značnou proměnu architektonického rázu těchto měst. Zanechali po sobě stovky budov všech typů a někteří z nich se zařadili mezi autory nejvýznamnějších staveb Bulharska po osvobození.

The thesis summarises the main findings of the author’s research that was realized on the ground of Faculty of Civil engineering CTU in Prague. The topic about work of the Czech architects and engineers in Bulgaria (1870-1918) has still not surveyed systematically and it is little known in the Czech scientific circles. Czech specialists contributed not only for the development of the infrastructure and the first city improvements in Bulgaria, that prefigured beginning of modern planning, but also to the radical change of city architectural look. They designed hundreds of buildings from all types and some of them ranked among the authors of most significant buildings of post-liberated Bulgaria.
