E-commerce businesses are trying to optimize their product pages to increase sales by selecting the best images and product descriptions. This process takes time and during the time when an offering does not have optimal attributes, it does not generate as many sales as possible. When product images and descriptions are changed to increase performance of the offering, there exists no way of predicting whether the change has a positive or negative effect. This thesis proposes a method to predict sales of online offerings based on their attributes. Having a way of measuring how a change in some attribute impacts the performance of the offering could simplify the process of finding the best product images and product descriptions for an offering. The optimized offering would then be able to generate more sales more quickly.
