This thesis deals with the description of the most frequently used BMS for lithium batteries, their comparison and the design of the active balancer. The work defines introduction the individual system parts of the most commonly used BMS for lithium batteries. Subsequently, the practical part describes the design active balancing of the module, where the individual design steps are described. At the end of the practical sections, the waveforms of the active module balancer and the possible improvements are displayed. The penultimate chapter displays voltage time dependencies and state of charge during balancing under different conditions. The conclusion of the thesis deals with the comparison of passive and active balancing systems from energetic and economic point of view.
