V laboratorních podmínkách byly testovány i jednoduché metody detekce prostředkem Detehit, PP-3 a M9. The diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of the current state of research and development of acetylcholinesterase inhibitors for military use, with a focus on the detection and overall preparedness of the population of the Czech Republic for a possible nerve agents chemical attack. The theoretical part focuses on the history of the regulation of chemical warfare agents and the legislation associated with it. Simultaneously, thesis focuses on nerve agents themselves, its characteristic, history, methods of detection, detoxification, symptoms, treatment and their military use in history. In the practical part, there is an analysis of a questionnaire survey with a focus on age groups and an interview with an expert and a senior worker of the chemical service of the fire brigade of the capital city of Prague. These results will give us an insight into the readiness of the lay and professional public for a possible nerve agents attack. In the questionnaire survey, the lay public achieved 2173 correct answers out of 3146 possible (69,07 %), which indicates the readiness of the population of the Czech Republic. At the same time, it turned out that the older generation is better prepared with their knowledge, than the younger generation. Simple detection methods providing Detehit, PP-3 and M9 were also tested in laboratory conditions. Special focus was on the organophosphate diethylcyanmethylphosphonate, which can be used as a new, relatively safe and stable simulant of nerve agents G substances.
