Jednoduché a přesné stanovování objemu zajistí metoda měření pomocí váhy. Rozměry konizátu je možné dobře měřit pomocí CT. V klinické praxi by bylo vhodné měřit konizát měřítkem před ponořením do formaldehydu vcelku i rozstřižený. Master’s Thesis deals with methods of measuring the dimensions and volume of the collected tissue after the cervical conization. The main aim of this work was to improve the methodology of measuring volume, dimensions and determining the shape of the conizate. 86 specimens were measured at The Institute for Care of Mother and Child by the Phywe XR 4.0 computed tomography set and a volume measurement method using a scale. Several methods for measuring the length of the conizate were designed and statistically compared. The highest correlation with the volume of the specimen was observed in the method of measuring the length of the endocervical canal using CT and a glass capillary. Furthermore, it has been shown that the measurement of dimensions by a pathologist is quite inaccurate. The shape analysis showed that the hemielipsoid formula appeared to be the best for calculating the volume from the CT data. Calibration equations were created to correct the calculated volumes. Furthermore, the ellipsoid and the sphere were fitted to the conizate. Based on the results, it was confirmed that determining the volume of the conizate by calculation according to various mathematical formulas from the dimensions measured by the pathologist is very inaccurate and should not be used. Simple and accurate volume determination is ensured by the weight measurement method. The dimensions of the specimen can be well measured using CT. In clinical practice, it would be good to measure the conizate on a scale before immersion in formaldehyde as a whole and cut.
