This master’s thesis studies problematics of eye tracking and areas of interest classification. The main goal of the thesis was to design wearable eye tracking device, that would meet high standard quality criteria of similar devices, and at the same time to develop solution for automatic areas of interest detection. In the theoretical part there are summarized basic principles used in eye tracking, including description of eye movements for better understanding of imposed requirements on the device. To better understand automatic area of interest detection, principles of artificial neural networks and object detectors are described in this part. The theoretical introduction to the problematics is followed with literary review of some older articles focusing on similar topic. After designing and after the production the device was tested in real conditions in the cockpit of Cessna 182. Gathered data were processed by an automatic object detector. In the last part of the thesis is the summary of the results and there is also a proposal for future potential use of this system.
