The subject of this work is the design of the substructure of the Vrchlického 1175 residence on the basis of an engineering geological survey. The building is adjacent to roads and existing buildings, it also has two underground floors. The design of the substructure will include securing the construction pit with suitable geotechnical structures in relation to the surrounding conditions (depth of the foundation joint of neighboring buildings, the presence of groundwater). Another main goal of this work is to foundation the building again on the basis of engineering geological research. Emphasis will be placed especially on solving the interaction of the subsoil with the substructure, as the reconstruction of foundation structures can be very expensive and unworkable under certain conditions.
