Disertační práce shrnuje a uspořádává dosavadní poznatky z oblasti vlivu architektury a vystavěného prostředí na možnosti orientace a pohybu osob s Parkinsonovou nemocí. The dissertation summarises and organises the current knowledge on the impacts of architecture and the built environment on the mobility and orientation possibilities of persons with Parkinson’s disease. It supplements this existing knowledge with basic principles of spatial design so that requirements related to specific symptoms of Parkinson’s disease can be taken into account in a natural way. The key part of the dissertation is experimental study, which attempted to verify the effects of various floor patterns on gaits of patients with Parkinson’s disease.
