Výzkum syndromu vyhoření a deprese u příslušníků HZS Plzeňského kraje

Abstract

Předmětem této diplomové práce je výzkum syndromu vyhoření a deprese u příslušníků HZS Plzeňského kraje. Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je zmapování současné situace související s mírou syndromu vyhoření a deprese u hasičů sloužících v Plzeňském kraji. Současně je cílem této diplomové práce najít faktory, které mohou být příčinami dosahování vyšších výsledků v použitých testech. V první, teoretické části této práce je věnován prostor pro pojednání o současném stavu v rámci příbuzných témat celé problematiky deprese a syndromu vyhoření. Jsou popsány definice, časté příznaky, průběhy a možné příčiny syndromu vyhoření a deprese. U obou témat jsou nastíněné možné metody prevence a následné možnosti léčby. Kromě struktury HZS Plzeňského kraje je teoretická část dále zaměřena na náležitosti vzniku služebního poměru u HZS a na psychickou náročnost profese hasiče. Praktickou část tvoří výzkum prováděný kvantitativní metodou za pomoci dotazníkového šetření. Dotazník byl tvořen kombinací SMBM testu pro určení míry syndromu vyhoření a BDI-II testu pro určení míry deprese. U výsledků těchto testů byla následně zjišťována závislost na jednotlivé faktory užitím zvolené statistické metody, představující analýzu rozptylů (ANOVA). Před zahájením samotného výzkumu byly stanoveny hypotézy a jedna výzkumná otázka. Celého výzkumu se zúčastnilo 388 příslušníků a zaměstnanců HZS Plzeňského kraje. Na základě výsledků statistické analýzy byla zjištěna nízká prevalence syndromu vyhoření a poměrně vzácná prevalence deprese mezi testovanými hasiči. Jednofaktorová analýza rozptylu ANOVA však ukázala slabou závislost výsledků testu SMBM na věku a na době služby. Současně byla zjištěna vyšší tendence k fyzické únavě u respondentů, kteří nepracují jako výjezdoví hasiči. Jedním z předmětů zkoumání byla vzájemná závislost mezi depresí a syndromem vyhoření. Byla zjištěna středná závislost výsledků SMBM na výsledcích BDI-II. Výsledky této diplomové práce přinesly důvod k optimismu při řešení problematiky syndromu vyhoření a deprese u hasičů v Plzeňském kraji. Přesto se však objevila řada druhotných otázek, jejichž zodpovězení by mohlo být předmětem následných výzkumů.

The subject of this diploma thesis is the research of the burnout syndrome and depression among members of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Pilsen Region. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to look over the current situation related to the degree of burnout syndrome and depression among firefighters serving in the Pilsen region. Simultaneously, the aim of this thesis is to find the factors that may be the cause of achieving higher results in used tests. The first, theoretical part of this work, is devoted to a description of the current situation in topics related to the whole issue of depression and burnout syndrome. Definitions, common symptoms, courses and possible causes of burnout syndrome and depression syndrome are described in there. Possible methods of prevention and subsequent treatment options are outlined for both topics. In addition to the structure of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Pilsen Region, the theoretical part also focuses on the requirements for the establishment of an employment relationship with the Fire and Rescue Service and the psychological demands for the firefighting profession. The practical part of this work consists of the research carried out by a quantitative method with the help of a questionnaire survey. The questionnaire has been created of a combination of the SMBM test to determine the degree of burnout syndrome and the BDI-II test to determine the degree of depression. The results of these tests were then analyzed, by use statistical method representing analysis of variance (ANOVA), to explore dependence on individual factors. Hypotheses and one research question were set just before starting the research itself. 388 members and employees of the Fire and Rescue Service of the Pilsen Region attended the whole examination. Based on the results of statistical analysis, a low prevalence of burnout syndrome and a relatively rare prevalence of depression among the tested firefighters were found. However, one-way analysis of variance ANOVA showed a weak dependence of SMBM test results on age and length of service. At the same time, a higher tendency for physical tiredness was found among respondents who do not work as direct-action firefighters. One of the subjects of research was the interdependence between depression and burnout syndrome. The middle dependence of SMBM results on BDI-II results was found. The results of this diploma thesis brought up reason for optimism in the problem solving of burnout syndrome and depression among firefighters in the Pilsen region. Nevertheless, several secondary questions emerged, the answers to which could be the subject of subsequent research.
