Vliv monokulárního zamlžení na výsledky vyšetření oční dominance

Abstract

Bakalářská práce zpracovává téma zabývající se oční dominancí. Oční dominance je definována jako tendence preferovat vizuální vstup jednoho oka před druhým. Určení oční dominance je důležité nejenom z pohledu oftalmologie při operacích, ale také z pohledu optometristů při stanovení vhodné korekce klienta s důrazem na jeho potřeby a komfort. Práce je nejprve zaměřena na souvislost binokulárního vidění a oční dominance, poté následuje kapitola o lateralitě. Dále se práce věnuje samotné oční dominanci. Nejdříve je představena historie zjišťování oční dominance, dále jsou uvedeny faktory, které oční dominanci ovlivňují a formují její vytvoření. Podstatná část se týká klasifikace oční dominance, přičemž v této práci je použita klasifikace dle Evanse na senzorickou, ,,sighting" a motorickou oční dominanci. K jednotlivým typům oční dominance jsou následně uvedeny konkrétní vyšetřovací testy. V závěru je zmíněn význam určení oční dominance s důrazem na metodu monovision. Experimentální část je věnována vlivu monokulárního zamlžení na výsledky určení oční dominance. Výsledky experimentální části práce prokazují, že již malé zamlžení spojnou čočkou senzoricky dominantního oka má vliv na úspěšnost zjištění senzorické oční dominance.

This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of ocular dominance. Ocular dominance is defined as the tendency to prefer visual input from one eye to the other. Determining ocular dominance is important not only in ophthalmology during surgery, but also for optometrists in determining the best course of treatment with emphasis on the needs and comfort of the client. The thesis focuses on the connection between binocular vision and ocular dominance, followed by a chapter on laterality and finally ocular dominance in general. It discusses the history of investigation of ocular dominance and the factors that influence it and shape its formation. A substantial part of the work is focused on the classification of ocular dominance. The classification used here is according to Evans, who divided ocular dominance into sensory, ,sighting' and motor. Examples of specific tests are then given for the individual types. The final part of the thesis discusses the importance of determining ocular dominance with an emphasis on the monovision method. The experimental part is focused on ivestigation the effect of monocular fogging on the results of determining ocular dominance. The results show that even a slight fog effects the success of determining sensory ocular dominance.
