Porovnání epidemií a pandemií ve 20. a 21. století

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá proběhlými a probíhajícími epidemiemi a pandemiemi ve 20. a 21. století. Cílem práce je komparace epidemií a pandemií 20. a 21. století a jejich porovnání s probíhající pandemií COVID-19. V teoretické části jsou v návaznosti vysvětleny základní epidemiologické pojmy. Jsou popsáni původci epidemií, cesty přenosu, formy výskytu nákaz a epidemiologická opatření. Dále jsou popsána jednotlivá onemocnění, jejichž pandemie jsou porovnávány v praktické části práce. Na závěr teoretické části jsou vysvětleny epidemiologicky významné ukazatele. V rámci vlastního šetření jsou vybrány významné pandemie podle počtu obětí. K těmto globálním epidemiím byly vytvořeny grafy ze zachovalých zdrojů. Dále byly vytvořeny souhrnné tabulky s jednotlivými epidemiemi a pandemiemi. Tyto grafy a tabulky byly vzájemně porovnány a zároveň komparovány s pandemií Covid-19. Z šetření vyplývá že viry jsou původci všech porovnávaných pandemií a dominuje jim přenos kapénkami. Dále vyplývá vysoká podobnost mezi pandemií španělské chřipky a pandemií Covid-19.

The bachelor thesis deals with past and ongoing epidemics and pandemics in the 20th and 21st centuries. The aim of the thesis is to compare epidemics and pandemics of the 20th and 21st centuries and compare them with the ongoing pandemic COVID-19. In the theoretical part, the basic epidemiological concepts are explained in the following. The agents of epidemic, routes of transmission, and forms of disease occurrence are described.and epidemiological measures. Furthermore, individual diseases are described and their pandemics are compared in the practical part of the thesis. At the end of the theoretical part, epidemiologically relevant indicators are explained. In the actual investigation, important pandemics are selected according to the number of victims. Charts have been created for these global epidemics from extant sources. In addition, summary tables have been created for each epidemic and pandemics. These graphs and tables were compared with each other and compared with the Covid-19 pandemic. The investigation shows that viruses are the causative agents of all pandemics compared and are dominated by droplet transmission. Furthermore, there is a high similarity between the Spanish influenza pandemic and the Covid-19 pandemic.
