Optimalizace hoření v motoru Formula Student pomocí 3-D CFD

Abstract

Témou diplomovej práce je optimalizácia horenia v motore Formula Student prostriedkami 3D CFD simulácií. Práca obsahuje popis celého procesu prípravy 3D CFD výpočtov motora od vytvorenia pohyblivých výpočtových sietí pre celý cyklus až po kalibráciu modelu horenia a prestupu tepla. V závere sú preskúmané možnosti optimalizácie horenia s ohľadom na zníženie úrovne klepania zmenou kompresného pomeru a konštrukčnou úpravou sacích kanálov. Časť práce je venovaná aj analýze dát nameraných na motore počas závodov.

The subject of this diploma thesis is combustion process optimization in Formula Student engine by means of 3-D CFD simulations. It contains a description of creating moving meshes of engine for full-cycle 3-D CFD. The whole calibration process of combustion and heat transfer model is presented too. The thesis further focuses on optimization of combustion to reduce knocking intensity. The effect of compression ratio and design change of intake ports was investigated. One part of the thesis is also dedicated to analysis of engine data logged during Formula Student races.
