Zpracování a vizualizace aktigrafických a behaviorálních dat

Abstract

Cílem této bakalářské práce bylo prozkoumat nový vědecký obor digitální fenotypizace a jeho možné využití v praxi. Digitální fenotypizace je multidisciplinární obor vědy, který se dá definovat jako "sledování lidského fenotypu/lidských vlastností za použití digitálních zařízení". Pro sběr digitálních fenotypizačních dat existuje několik platforem. Zabýval jsem se popisem a zkušenostmi s dvěma takovými platformami - LAMP a Beiwe. V poslední části této práce popisuji pilotní studii, kterou jsme s kolegy uskutečnili. Pomocí fentoypizačních dat získaných v tétu studii ověřuji dvě hypotézy ohledně mentálního zdraví. Hypotézy jsou založeny na předpokladech, že se člověk cítí lépe, když tráví čas pohybem a hůře, když tráví značné množství času na svém mobilním telefonu. Tyto hypotézy jsou ověřeny pomocí lineární regrese a statistická významnost výsledků je ověřena pomocí multivariační analýzy rozptylu. Naše studie ukazuje, že existuje statisticky signifikantní vztah mezi náladou, pohybem a časem stráveným na telefonu.

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to explore the new scientific field of digital phenotyping and its possible application in practice. Digital phenotyping is a multidisciplinary field of science that can be defined as "monitoring the human phenotype/human characteristics using digital devices". Several platforms exist for collecting digital phenotyping data. In my thesis I provide a description and experience with two such platforms - LAMP and Beiwe. In the last section of this paper, I describe a pilot study that my colleagues and I conducted. Using the phenotyping data collected in that study, I test two hypotheses regarding mental health. The hypotheses are based on the assumptions that people feel better when they spend time on physical activity and worse when they spend a significant amount of time on their mobile phones. These hypotheses are tested using linear regression and the statistical significance of the results is tested using multivariate analysis of variance. Our study shows that there is a statistically significant relationship between mood, movement and time spent on the phone.
