Analýza a návrh UX pro semiautomatické sledování času projektových aktivit

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá návrhem řešení pro efektivní a pohodlné sledování a vykazování času stráveného projektovými aktivitami ve firmě Orchitech Solutions. Návrh řešení vychází ze zhodnocení UX současného nástroje používaného ve firmě a podrobně analyzovaných požadavků a potřeb zaměstnanců firmy. Čtenář je nejprve stručně seznámen s problematikou návrhu UX se zaměřením na UX výzkum, tvorbu prototypů a testování UX. Dále je čtenáři stručně představena firma zadavatele práce spolu s rolí, kterou ve firmě hrají výkazy zaměstnanců. Následně se práce věnuje analýze existujících nástrojů pro sledování času se zaměřením na identifikaci klíčových nedostatků těchto nástrojů. Práce dále popisuje podrobnou analýzu UX nástroje zadavatele, jenž autor vykonal nejdříve sám a poté se zaměstnanci firmy zadavatele formou hloubkových rozhovorů. Dále následuje návrh nového řešení, které eliminuje identifikované nedostatky a naplňuje požadavky a potřeby zaměstnanců zjištěné při hloubkových rozhovorech. Návrh je zaměřen především na UX celkového řešení a zahrnuje popis funkcionalit spolu s grafickými návrhy uživatelských rozhraní jednotlivých aplikací, ze kterých se řešení skládá. Pro vybrané komponenty řešení byly následně implementovány interaktivní prototypy, které byly otestovány se zaměstnanci firmy zadavatele jakožto potenciálními uživateli. Na závěr se práce věnuje zhodnocení přínosu navrženého řešení pomocí stanovených metrik.

This diploma thesis deals with the design of a solution for effective and convenient tracking and logging of time spent on project activities in company Orchitech Solutions. The design of the solution is based on UX evaluation of a tool that is currently used in the company and on a detailed analysis of the requirements and needs of the company's employees. The reader is first briefly acquainted with the topic of UX design with a focus on UX research, prototyping and UX testing. Furthermore, the reader is briefly introduced to this thesis supervisor's company together with the importance of time logged by the company's employees. Subsequently, the thesis deals with the analysis of existing time tracking tools with a focus on identifying the key shortcomings of these tools. The thesis then describes a detailed UX analysis of the client's tool, which the author first performed himself and then with employees of the client's company in the form of in-depth interviews. Then follows the proposal of a new solution that eliminates the identified shortcomings and meets the requirements and needs of employees identified during in-depth interviews. The design is mainly focused on the overall solution's UX and includes a description of the functionalities together with graphical designs of user interfaces of the individual applications that make up the solution. Interactive prototypes were subsequently implemented for selected components of the solution and properly tested with the company's employees as potential users. The last chapter of this thesis focuses on evaluation of the benefits of the proposed solution using established metrics.
