The thesis is focused on exploring the possibilities of using BIM non-graphical data for other use-cases than just as a part of digital construction plans. At first, the importance of non-graphical data and different methods of utilization and creation of non-graphical data are presented. Then several classification systems and data standards are described. The thesis discusses their purpose and how can they be beneficial for the standardization of data during the checking phase or for the improvement of communication between participants of the construction process. Further, different methods that can be used to transfer BIM data are explained and for the most widely used one (IFC), the planned future development is laid out. In the last part, the transfer of BIM data is described in particular examples. It is also shown how the nongraphical data can be separated from the graphical ones including one concrete implementation to BIM software \textit{Revit}. In the end, the different options of how to check non-graphical data are presented.
