Efekt očních cvičení při řešení refrakčních vad

Abstract

Cílem práce je teoreticky i prakticky zjistit, zda mohou mít oční cviky pozitivní přínos na lidský zrak. Práce se zabývá konkrétními očními cviky a jejich účinností. Jsou popsány teorie a metody, z nichž dané cviky vychází, tedy Batesova a Schneiderova metoda. Představeni jsou též autoři těchto metod a je popsán také jejich názor na tradiční řešení refrakčních vad. V práci je také uveden přehled refrakčních vad, které by údajně měly být řešitelné uvedenými cviky. Dále je stručně popsána anatomie oka a přídatných očních orgánů. Zejména očních svalů, které lze na základě výše uvedených metod posílit stejně jako svaly kosterní, což je jedním z hlavních principů alternativních metod. Je také zmíněna akomodace a její principy. Praktická část práce se zabývá testováním vybraných cviků na skupině subjektů. Výsledky jsou porovnány s kontrolní skupinou, která vybrané cviky neprováděla. V závěru práce jsou kriticky zhodnoceny získané informace a výsledky o dané problematice.

The aim of the thesis is to theoretically and practically assess whether eye exercises can have a positive contribution to human vision. The thesis deals with specific eye exercises and their effectiveness. There are described theories and methods on which these exercises are based (i. e. Bates and Schneider methods). The authors of these methods are also introduced and their opinions on traditional solutions of refractive errors are described. Furthermore, the thesis provides an overview of refractive errors, which should allegedly be solved by the exercises. The work also includes a brief description anatomy of the eye and its accesory organs. Especially anatomy of eye muscles is important because alternative methods (above mentioned) claim that eye muscles can be strenghten in the same way as skeletal muscles. This is one of the key statement of alternative methods. The eye accommodation and its principles are also mentioned as well. The practical part of the work deals with testing selected exercises on a group of subjects. The results are compared with a control group that did not perform selected exercises.Finally, I add my point of view to alternative methods and briefly confront them with traditional approaches.
