Disertační práce je zaměřena na hodnocení procesů porušování konstrukčních materiálů tlakových nádob jaderných reaktorů typu VVER. Byla provedena série experimentů s cílem vyhodnocení struktury a procesů porušování dvojice materiálů, a sice austenitického návaru a materiálu svarových spojů reaktorové nádoby. Hlavními výstupy experimentální činnosti jsou podrobná charakterizace mikrostruktury materiálů, typických mikromechanismů porušování a vazby mezi těmito charakteristikami a lomovou houževnatostí, resp. vrubovou houževnatostí. The dissertation thesis is dedicated to evaluation of failure processes of reactor pressure vessel structural materials of VVER 440 and VVER 1000 types. Series of experiments focused on the evaluation of microstructure and failure processes of a couple of materials were performed, namely the pressure vessel cladding, and the material of pressure vessel welded joints. The main outputs of the experiments include detailed characterization of microstructures of the materials, typical micromechanisms of failure, and information on the relationship between these characteristics and the fracture toughness, or the impact toughness.
