| cze |
dc.description.abstract | Suppose we are given a Hamilton-Jacobi equation of a Hamiltonian that is a polynomial of a degree 2 in momenta. Such an equation is from an algebraic point of view a quadric. We will try to show the correspondence between a transformation of a quadric to its canonical form and a transformation of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation to a simpler form. Algebraically, this requires operations on quadratic spaces over the field of rational functions and quadric transformations in modules over rings of differentiable functions. We will show that the canonical form of a quadric has a clear relation to separability of Hamilton-Jacobi equation. Further, we will find a criterion for absorbing generalised potentials, such as electromagnetic potential, into momenta and classical potential using a canonical transformation. | eng |
