Předmětem práce je simulace detektoru kosmického ionizujícího záření SXRM a v něm použitého detekčního čipu SpacePix s následnou analýzou získaných dat a návrhy optimalizace detekčního uspořádání komponent. The subject of this thesis is simulation of SXRM, a cosmic radiation detector, and its detection component, the SpacePix ASIC, with subsequent data analysis resulting in optimization suggestions. The intended application area of the SXRM detector is at polar circular Earth orbit at 400 km altitude. Therefore, this thesis describes the composition and properties of cosmic radiation occurring in the aforementioned orbit. The analysis of the orbital model discloses the energy spectra to be included in the particle-detector interaction simulation. Being crucial for the understanding the simulation process, the problematics of particle-matter interaction is discussed broadly as well as the physics of semiconductor detector working principles. Simulation packages Geant4 and AllpixSquared were used in order to create models of SXRM and SpacePix family ASIC and simulation of interaction of several particle species has been performed. The ROOT package was used for resulting data analysis.
