Analýza technických opatření ke zvýšení bezpečnosti cyklistické dopravy

Abstract

V posledních několika letech vzrůstá popularita jízdního kola jako dopravního prostředku, což nese mnoho obtíží, týkající se návrhu cyklistické infrastruktury. Výše zmíněný nárůst popularity vyvolal potřebu řešit bezpečnost tohoto typu dopravy jako celku. Pro podporu bezpečnosti se do hlavního dopravního prostoru začaly aplikovat prvky pro integraci cyklistů a vznikají sdružené i samostatné stezky pro cyklisty. Vlivem rozvoje cyklistické dopravy dochází ke změnám cyklistické infrastruktury. Její hodnocení se provádí především z pohledu bezpečnosti a podílu cyklistické dopravy na celkové dělbě přepravní práce. Hypotéza Safety in Numbers je vhodná pro hodnocení bezpečnosti cyklistické dopravy. Hlavní myšlenka je, že čím je větší podíl cyklistické dopravy na celkové dělbě přepravní práce, tím se zvyšuje její bezpečnost. Statistika nehodovosti cyklistické dopravy je zcela nedostatečná pro hodnocení cyklistické infrastruktury v hlavním dopravním prostoru. Její hodnocení je možné provést pomocí metody sledování potencionálních konfliktů. Tento přístup sleduje reálné chování a reakci cyklistů a řidičů motorových vozidel na konkrétní typ cyklistické infrastruktury. Lze tak hodnotit vhodnost jednotlivých prvků do konkrétních podmínek.

During the last few years, the popularity growth of the bicycle phenomenon as a mean of transport brings a lot of troubles connected with the designs of cycling infrastructure. This particular growth evoked the need to solve the safety of cycling transport from the general perspective. According to support the safety of main cycling transport area, the cycling integrational elements have been applied and the conjugated or independent paths have been recently generated. The development of cycling transport is connected with the development of the cycling infrastructure. The evaluation of the cycling transport has been done from the safety point of view and from the point of the share of cycling transport on the total transport labour. Safety in Numbers hypothesis is suitable for the cycling transport traffic evaluation. The main point is that, the bigger the cycling transport share on the total transport labour is, the higher is its safety. The statistics of cycling transport accident rate is totally insufficient for the cycling transport evaluation in the main corridor. Its evaluation is possible to realize by the potential conflict monitoring method. This attitude monitors real behaviour and reaction of cyclists and drivers of motor vehicles in the specific type of cycling infrastructure. Thus it is possible to evaluate the suitability of particular elements to specific conditions.
