This thesis deals with the issue of modernization of radiologicaldepartment and its impact on its staff. Thanks to European Union and eHealth concept is digitalization progressing in hospitals more quickly than before. We are standing on the threshold of a new face of medical service. This theme is very interesting for me. In the theoretical section, the principle of X-rays is provided together with the method of analogue and digital imaging and current methods of archiving as well. In this section, the current state of radiology is surveyed and the principles of the individual methods, their advantages and disadvantages together with future prospective are described here as well. In the practical section, I made a research about using new technologiesto analysis objective and subjective benefits of modernization for stuff. Within the framework of qualitative methodology, the method of semistructured interviews was used. The research sample was set up from employees working in the radiological departments in the hospital with new equipment in České Budějovice and others South Bohemian hospitals. For the purposes of this research, I made no difference as far as the individual age categories or educational background, the only criteria was 2 years of practice. This means that this selection has, in my opinion, sufficient support both from the theory and practice and thus it has a sufficient testifying value with respect to the knowledge and experience of the radiological assistants subject to the research. The aim of this thesis was not only to map out the current situation, butto define pros and cons of modernization related to common work of radiographers. The result of the research shows that the current way of technical progress brings more positive than negatives. With respect to the information obtained, this thesis might be a usefulcontribution to the discussion on other legislative changes in the educational system with a subsequent positive impact when applied in practice.cze
