Problematika aktivních střelců v komparativní perspektivě

Abstract

Obsahem diplomové práce je problematika aktivních střelců. Práce je primárně zaměřena na problematiku školních střelců, jejich psychickou strukturu a motivy. V teoretické části práce jsou definovány základní pojmy týkající se této problematiky, psychologická charakteristika aktivních střelců, typy použitých zbraní a místa útoku. Práce rozebírá roli integrovaného záchranného systému v problematice aktivních střelců a též obsahuje praktické rady pro osoby nacházející se na místě útoku aktivního střelce. Dále je v práci uvedeno několik konkrétních případů střeleckých útoků na amerických školách. V praktické části práce jsou vymezeny cíle a hypotézy. Kvantitativní analytickou metodou je v práci proveden výzkum mínění studentů středních škol, jejich rodičů a zákonných zástupců, pedagogů a pracovníků škol na problematiku aktivních střelců, zda by se dal podobný útok jako na amerických školách očekávat i v České republice, zda se dá útočník předem identifikovat a jaká existují na školách bezpečnostní opatření. Získaná data jsou zpracována ve formě tabulek a grafů. Dále je v praktické části práce komparativní metodou proveden rozbor útoků na americké školy Columbine High School z roku 1999, Virginia Polytechnic Institute z roku 2007 a Sandy Hook Elementary School z roku 2012. V diskuzi je provedena komparace dosažených výsledků s výsledky jiných autorů a se statistikami provedenými různými organizacemi bezpečnostního charakteru. V neposlední řadě jsou v práci uvedeny návrhy na předcházení podobným útokům a minimalizaci obětí. V závěru práce je shrnutí výsledků a cílů.

The topic of this thesis are active shooters and questions surrounding school shootings. Its prime focus is on school shooters, their psychological profile, and their motives. In its theoretical section, key concepts, the psychological profiles of the active shooters, the types of weapons used, and locations of the shooting are defined. The thesis analyzes the role of integrated public safety networks and also offers practical advice for people who find themselves in the midst of an active shooting. The thesis also discusses several specific American school shootings. The thesis's goals and hypotheses are formulated in the practical section. The author uses the quantitative analytical method to research the opinions of high school students, their parents and legal guardians, teachers, and school workers on the issue of active shooters - whether an attack similar to American school shootings could happen in the Czech Republic; whether a perpetrator could be identified ahead of time; what safety measures exist in schools. The acquired data is then incorporated into tables and graphs. In the practical section there are also comparative analyses of the American school shootings at Columbine High School in 1999, Virginia Polytechnic Institute in 2007, and at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. The discussion compares the author's achieved results with other authors' results and statistics compiled by various organizations with a focus on safety. Finally, the thesis offers proposals for the prevention of similar shootings and minimizing the amount of victims. It concludes with a summary of its results and goals.
