Abstract

Práce pojednává o užití databázového modelu EAV v pokladním systému. Popsána je struktura a historie modelu, včetně porovnání s relačním modelem. Následuje popis pokladních systém?, jejich užití a průzkum komerčních implementací. Studie obsahuje návrh a implementaci vlastního pokladního systému pro praktickou ukázku užití EAV modelu. Aplikace je vypracována v C++ s podporou Qt knihovny, včetně? užití SQLite databáze. Praktická ukázka je rozdělena na dvě části. Skladovou část, kde uživatel může vytvářet vlastnosti, kategorie a produkty. Dále pak pokladní část, sloužící k provádění transakcí a tisku paragonu. Přínosem práce je ukázka užití EAV modelu v pokladních systémech.

This thesis discusses the use of EAV database model in the Point of Sale (POS) system. It describes the structure and history of the model, including the comparison with the relational model. Following is a description of POS systems, their use and the survey of commercial implementations. The work includes a design and implementation of its own POS system for a practical demonstration of the EAV model usage. The application is developed in C++ with Qt library support, including the use of SQLite database. The practical demonstration consists of two parts. The warehouse section where the user can create properties, categories and products. Further, the cash section used for transactions and receipt printing. The benefit of this work is an example of the EAV model use in POS systems.
