The first part of the thesis provides an overview of specific methods of compression and encryption which are usable for long-range transport of biological data. The thesis describes a library and newly developed unified application interface for testing of the algorithms. The algorithms are tested on real biological data and their parameters are compared, especially time requirements, compression ratio and ability to work in real time. The whole library is implemented in embedded device based on the ARM9 architecture. Encryption and dec- ryption functionality is verified in real conditions of acquisition and transfer of biological data....
