The thesis comes within the area of ECG signal analysis by the HRV analysis. The goal of the thesis is to perform a pilot experiment which should answer a question how serious influence have different types of ECG artifacts on the most important HRV parameters. The thesis comprises four main parts. The first part deals with a theoretical background of the issue, presents a state-of-art of the issue and known HRV methods. HRV parameters of interest (pNN50, SDNN, HF a LF/HF) and different kinds of ECG artifacts (system hum, fluctuation of isoline, abrupt changes of isolines and myopotentials) are introduces in the second part. The main part of the chapter is a design of methods for simulating of selected types of ECG artifacts and a suggestion of methods for result interpreting (box-and-whiskers plots, t-test and Wilcoxon's test). The third part of the thesis describes available and self-designed software (qrsdet.cpp, dviz.exe, hrv.exe resp. zarus.exe, vyhodnot.exe). Selected values of parameters of the disturbings, previews of disturbed ECG signals and the most important results of the thesis including discussion are summarized in the fourth part. Conclusions about influences (sensitivities) of HRV parameters on different kinds and intenzities of ECG artifacts on the basis of performed experiments have been formulated. In general the most sensitive parametr is the SDNN followed by pNN50. Parameters HF and LF/HF are influenced only little and approximately equally, the HF is possibly influenced a little bit more than LF/HF....
