Prototyp moderní verze aplikace License Management Portal

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá modernizací existující webové aplikace License Management Portal (LMP), která slouží k administraci softwarových licencí a komunikuje s backendovou WCF službou. Cílem práce bylo navrhnout a implementovat funkční prototyp nové verze této aplikace s využitím moderních technologií a zároveň zajistit zpětnou kompatibilitu se stávající WCF službou bez zásahu do její implementace. V rámci řešení byla navržena nová vícevrstevná architektura, RESTful API, rozšířena autentizace o správu rolí a optimalizováno uživatelské rozhraní z hlediska výkonu a použitelnosti. Integrace s WCF byla realizována pomocí samostatného proxy prostředníka, který zprostředkovává komunikaci mezi modernizovaným backendem a původní službou. Výsledkem je rozšiřitelný prototyp, který demonstruje proveditelnost přechodu na moderní architekturu i v prostředí, kde je nutné zachovat starší backendové komponenty. Práce otevírá prostor pro další rozvoj aplikace i její budoucí nasazení do produkčního prostředí.

This thesis focuses on the modernization of the existing web application License Management Portal (LMP), which is used for software license administration and communicates with a backend WCF service. The goal of the thesis was to design and implement a functional prototype of a new version of this application using modern technologies while ensuring backward compatibility with the existing WCF service without modifying its implementation. The proposed solution includes a new multi-layered architecture, a RESTful API, extended authentication with role management, and a performance-optimized user interface. Integration with the WCF service was achieved through a standalone proxy intermediary that mediates communication between the modernized backend and the legacy service. The result is a scalable prototype that demonstrates the feasibility of transitioning to a modern architecture even in environments where legacy backend components must be preserved. The thesis lays the groundwork for further development of the application and its future deployment in a production environment.
