Coriolisova iluze a její vliv na piloty v různých fázích výcviku

Abstract

Coriolisova iluze je nebezpečnou vestibulární iluzí, která může mít fatální důsledky na letecký provoz. Práce zkoumá, jak tato iluze ovlivňuje rozdílné piloty s odlišnými leteckými zkušenostmi. Výzkumu se zúčastnilo celkem 114 subjektů rozdělených do 4 skupin. Každý z nich absolvoval dva lety na simulátoru prostorové dezorientace, kde byla implementována Coriolisova iluze s maximálně týdenní přestávkou mezi těmito lety. Výsledná letová data byla zkoumána metodami Dynamic Time Warping, analýzy hlavních komponent a Wardovým hierarchickým shlukováním. Na letových parametrech kursu a příčného náklonu letadla na prvním měření jasně vidět přítomnost Coriolisovy iluze a její ovlivnění letových parametrů. V letových datech jako nadmořská výška a vertikální rychlost nebyly zjištěny významné rozdíly mezi letem s iluzí a bez iluze na prvním měření. Druhé měření a analýza letových dat neprokázala žádné rozdíly mezi letem bez iluze a s iluzí. Z letových dat dále bylo zjištěno, že všechny letecké skupiny jsou ovlivněny přibližně stejně negativními účinky Coriolisovy iluze a mezi skupinami se nevyskytují významné rozdíly. Výsledky subjektivního hodnocení ukazují, že každá skupina vnímala Coriolisovu iluzi velmi intenzivně jak po prvním, tak i po druhém měření. Z tohohle všeho plyne jasné nebezpečí Coriolisovy iluze pro všechny piloty bez ohledu na jejich předchozí letecké zkušenosti.

The Coriolis illusion is a dangerous vestibular illusion that can have fatal consequences for aviation operations. The study examines whether this illusion affects differently pilots with varying levels of flight experience. A total of 114 subjects were involved in the research, divided into 4 groups. Each of them completed two flights on a spatial disorientation simulator, where the Coriolis illusion was implemented with a maximum week-long break between these flights. The resulting flight data were analyzed using methods such as Dynamic Time Warping, principal component analysis, and Ward's hierarchical clustering. In the flight parameters of heading and aircraft bank angle, the presence of the Coriolis illusion and its influence on flight parameters were clearly visible in the first measurement. In the flight data such as altitude and vertical speed, no significant differences were found between flights with and without the illusion after the first measurement. The second measurement and analysis of flight data did not show any differences between flights without the illusion and with the illusion. Furthermore, it was found from the flight data that all flight groups are affected by approximately the same negative effects of the Coriolis illusion, and there are no significant differences between groups. The results of subjective evaluation indicate that each group perceived the Coriolis illusion very intensely after both the first and second measurements. From these results, it is clear that the Coriolis illusion poses a clear danger to all pilots regardless of their previous flight experience.
