The bachelor thesis introduces the reader to the development of the electricity market and how the price of electricity is calculated for end customers. It also introduces the reader to the notifications to the European Commission that each member state of the European Union must submit to check for market harm. The main part is then the operational support for low-carbon sources, where the reader is introduced to three types of support and then two supports are applied to an economic model of a fictitious nuclear power plant on the territory of the Czech Republic.
