This bachelor's thesis focuses on temperature control in a physical furnace model constructed from readily available materials. The thesis includes a description of the Eurotherm PAC T2750 programmable logic controller, which is used to control the entire process. It also covers the fabrication of the physical model, the creation of a mathematical model using pseudo bond graphs, and the design of controllers using the Root Locus method. Experiments involved testing controllers on both the mathematical and physical models, with subsequent comparison of results. The topic of this thesis is inspired by my previous experience with industrial process control and is also relevant with my current position at Etherm a.s.
