Digitální měny centrálních bank

Abstract

Cílem diplomové práce je analyzovat možnou integraci digitálních měn do finančního systému. Pomocí literární rešerše teoretická část zkoumá peníze, dějiny peněz a centrální banky. Další kapitola se zaměřuje na inovace v platebních systémech, konkrétně na systémy SWIFT a RTGS, blockchain technologii, digitální identitu a finanční inkluzi. Třetí kapitola je základním vymezením digitálních měn, včetně kryptoměn, stablecoinů a digitálních měn centrálních bank, a vysvětluje jejich roli v dnešním digitálním finančním prostředí. V praktické části jsou popsány digitální měny centrálních bank. Čtvrtá kapitola porovnává tyto měny s tradičními systémy, analyzuje možnosti různých designů a vyhodnocuje hlavní motivace, výzvy a rizika při jejich implementaci. V poslední kapitole je zkoumán vývoj projektů digitálních měn centrálních bank po celém světě. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována projektům eNaira v Nigérii a digitální euro v eurozóně. Komparace těchto projektů ukazuje široké spektrum možností v návrhu a implementaci digitálních měn centrálních bank, a také jejich dopady na finanční prostředí.

The aim of the master's thesis is to analyze the potential integration of digital currencies into the financial system. The theoretical part conducts a literature review on money, the history of money, and central banks. Another chapter focuses on innovations in payment systems, specifically on the SWIFT and RTGS systems, blockchain technology, digital identity, and financial inclusion. The third chapter provides a fundamental description of digital currencies, including cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, and central bank digital currencies, explaining their role in today's digital financial environment. Digital currencies issued by central banks are described in the practical part. The fourth chapter compares these currencies with traditional systems, analyzes the possibilities of various designs, and evaluates the main motivations, challenges, and risks associated with their implementation. The final chapter examines the development of central bank digital currency projects worldwide. Special attention is given to the eNaira project in Nigeria and the digital euro project in the eurozone. The comparison of these projects demonstrates a wide spectrum of possibilities in design and implementation of central bank digital currencies and their impacts on the financial environment.
