K simulaci radiační zátěže materiálů vnitřních stěn a XUV/rtg. optických elementů posloužil výbojový plazmový zdroj koherentního extrémního ultrafialového záření a rentgenový laser na volných elektronech. K charakterizaci iontové emise a tepelných účinků byla použita hmotová spektroskopie a termokamera. Ozářené vzorky byly dále analyzovány, získané výsledky pro různé materiály a jeho formy interpretovány a navzájem porovnány. Prezentaci výsledků laboratorních simulací předchází teoretický úvod do problematiky testování radiační odolnosti materiálů, interakce záření s pevnou látkou a konstrukce a funkce XUV/rtg. laserů, optiky a detektorů různých typů. Podrobně je popsán zejména kapilární výbojový laser emitující XUV záření o vlnové délce 46,9 nm a řádkovací hmotově spektroskopický mikroskop využívající ablace materiálu fokusovaným svazkem tohoto laseru. The thesis is dealing with radiation damage to metallic and non-metallic materials induced by short and ultra-short pulses of XUV and x-ray lasers, respectively. The main goal is to determine the damage thesholds and characterize emissions of ions and thermal radiation from surfaces of irradiated samples. Special attention is paid to solid materials considered as suitable for first walls of prospective inertial confinement reactors, i.e. tungsten, its alloys and boron nitride. The simulation of first wall materials and XUV/x-ray optics radiation load has been performed by capillary-discharge XUV laser and x-ray free-electron laser. To reveal the ion emission and heat loads, mass spectroscopy imaging and thermocamera have been used. Irradiated samples were further analyzed by various microscpy techniques. Results obtained on certain materials have been interpreted and compared. Before the experimental part of the thesis, a theoretical introduction is given to the methods of radiation damage testing, interaction of radiation with solid matter, and the construction and operation principles of XUV/x-ray lasers, optics, and detectors of various types. Special attention is paid to capillary-discharge laser (46.9 nm) and a scanning time-of-flight mass spectrometer analyzing ion emission from samples ablated by nanosecond XUV laser pulses.
