Abstract

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá vývoj cen kryptoměn, se zaměřením na Bitcoin (BTC) a Ethereum (ETH) v daném sledovaném období 2018–2023. Analýza zahrnuje historické trendy, klíčové události a faktory, které ovlivňují hodnotu obou digitálních aktiv. Bitcoin s omezeným zásobováním 21 milionů jednotek je porovnáván s Ethereum, jehož zásobování není omezeno. Tato studie rovněž posuzuje rozdíly v investičním potenciálu a technologických vlastnostech obou kryptoměn. Na základě provedené analýzy jsou prezentována doporučení pro potenciální investory. Zohledňuje se stabilita cen, možné výkyvy a rizika spojená s každou kryptoměnou. Investoři jsou vyzváni k pečlivému posouzení svých investičních cílů, tolerance k riziku a celkového strategického přístupu k portfoliu před rozhodnutím o investici do Bitcoinu, Ethereum nebo obou. Závěr poskytuje perspektivu na možné budoucí trendy a vývoj v kryptoměnovém prostředí, aby investoři měli informovaný základ pro svá rozhodnutí.

This bachelor's thesis explores the development of cryptocurrency prices, focusing on Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) during the observed period of 2018–2023. The analysis encompasses historical trends, key events, and factors influencing the value of both digital assets. Bitcoin, with its limited supply of 21 million units, is compared to Ethereum, which has no supply cap. The study also assesses differences in investment potential and technological features of both cryptocurrencies. Based on the conducted analysis, recommendations are presented for potential investors. Consideration is given to price stability, potential fluctuations, and risks associated with each cryptocurrency. Investors are urged to carefully assess their investment goals, risk tolerance, and overall strategic approach to their portfolio before deciding to invest in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or both. The conclusion provides insights into possible future trends and developments in the cryptocurrency environment, empowering investors with an informed foundation for their decisions.
