Hodnocení aterosklerotických změn na podkladě Body Mass Indexu

Abstract

Bakalářská práce se zabývá hodnocením aterosklerotických změn na podkladě indexu tělesné hmotnosti (BMI). Teoretická část práce se zabývá shrnutím základních informací o ateroskleróze. Je zde vysvětlen vznik a vývoj aterosklerózy, její ovlivnitelné a neovlivnitelné rizikové faktory a samotná diagnostika onemocnění. Okrajově se tato kapitola zaměřuje na komplikace spojené s aterosklerózou, léčbou a prevencí jejího vzniku. Je zde představen také výpočet BMI a jeho hodnoty. Praktická část bakalářské práce se zabývá vyhodnocením výsledků ultrasonografického vyšetření a komparace aterosklerotických změn na stěně karotických tepen u čtyř skupin rozdílného věku a hodnot BMI. V kapitole metodika je popsáno pracoviště konání výzkumu, samotné ultrasonografické vyšetření, použité pomůcky a přístroje, způsob výběru probandů a jejich zařazení do skupin. Z výsledků byla potvrzena původní hypotéza, která tvrdí, že existuje přímá úměra mezi výší BMI, věkem jedince a výskytem aterosklerotických změn na stěně karotických tepen. Celkem byl pomocí ultrasonografického vyšetření odhalen patologický nález u 4 probandů, kteří spadali do věkové skupiny nad 45 let a váhové skupiny s BMI nad normu.

The Bachelor thesis deals with the evaluation of atherosclerotic changes based on body mass index (BMI). The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the summary of basic information about atherosclerosis. It explains the origin and development of atherosclerosis, its influenceable and uninfluenceable risk factors, and the diagnosis of the disease itself are explained here. Marginally, this chapter focuses on complications related to atherosclerosis, treatment and prevention of its onset. The calculation of BMI and its value is also presented here. The practical part of the bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of ultrasonographic examination results and the comparison of atherosclerotic changes on the wall of carotid arteries in four age groups with different BMI values. The methodology chapter describes the research site, the ultrasonographic examination itself, the aids and instruments used, the method of selecting the probands and their classification into groups. The results confirmed the original hypothesis, which claims that there is a direct correlation between the amount of BMI, the age of the individual and the occurrence of atherosclerotic changes on the wall of the carotid arteries. In total, ultrasonographic examination revealed pathological finding in 4 probands that belong to the over 45 age group and weight group with a BMI above the norm.
