Využití smart devices a m-health u léčby karcinomu prostaty - kvalitativní šetření

Abstract

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na využití m-health technologií u léčby karcinomu prostaty. Cílem této diplomové práce je analyzovat přínosy a perspektivy m-health technologií v České republice. V rámci přehledu současného stavu jsou shrnuty informace o technologiích m-health a přehled trhu, zainteresovaných stran a rolí m-health v onkologii. Výzkum je založen na kvalitativní formě a data byla sbírána pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pacienty s karcinomem prostaty a odborníky v této oblasti (radiační onkologové a radiologičtí asistenti). Získané rozhovory byly následně analyzovány pomoci softwaru MAXQDA 2022. Výsledky ukázaly, že pacienti mají nízkou míru povědomí a zkušeností s m-health, preferují osobní komunikaci s lékařem, a v případě, pokud by měli používat m-health aplikace, tak pro ně nejvíce relevantními parametry pro monitorování by byly tep, tlak a fyzická aktivita. Odborníci vidí v zavedení m-health do běžného používání převážně kladné stránky, jako je úspora času, snadnější proces sběru potřebných dat od pacienta apod. Odborníci také považují m-health za technologii, která má velký potenciál pro další rozvoj a zapojení do léčebného procesu. Tento výzkum může být pro hlubší pochopení potřeb a preferencí obou stran doplněn o další informace, a data mohou být následně kvantifikována.

This diploma thesis is focused on m-health technology in conjunction with treatment of prostate cancer. The main objective of this diploma thesis is to analyze benefits and perspectives of m-health technology in the Czech Republic. The overview of the current state of m-health consists of summarized information about m-health technologies, m-health market, interested parties related to m-health and m-health purposes within oncology. The research has been conducted using qualitative approach, and data have been collected by half-structured interviews with patients diagnosed with prostate cancer, and with oncology experts (doctors of oncology and radiology assistants). The interview transcripts have been subsequently analyzed using MAXQDA 2022 (a software). The results have revealed that patients usually have a low level of knowledge about m-health technology, as well as little experience with m-health devices. The results have also revealed that patients prefer a personal communication with doctors, and in case they were required to use m-health technology, the most relevant personal health parameters for them to monitor would be a heartrate, a blood pressure and physical activity. Experts see mostly benefits in introducing m-health technology into cancer treatment, such as saving time, easier collection of necessary (personal) data from patients etc. Experts also consider m-health as a technology that has a very high potential for future development and use in treatment process in general. This research may be, to understand the needs and preferences of both sides (patients and experts) further, supplemented by more information, and resulting data may be subsequently quantified.
