Revitalizace objektu historického skladiště Malá Amerika v Brně

Abstract

Předmětem diplomové práce je návrh revitalizace bývalého skladiště Malá Amerika, včetně nejbližšího okolí a parteru, konverze na společensko-kulturní prostor. Do revitalizace širšího okolí je zahrnut prostor železničního vyvýšeného tělesa a přístupové komunikace. Tento prostor je ohraničen fasádami okolních budov, na východní straně hranou železničního tělesa. Cílem projektu je otevřít dosud uzavřený prostor návštěvníkům a vytvořit v obnovené lokalitě nový bod zájmu. Návrh respektuje a zachovává historickou hodnotu stavby, nové zásahy jsou evidentní a jasně rozpoznatelné. V suterénu vzniknou nové výrobní provozy, které využijí potenciál prostoru. V nadzemních podlažích je navržena galerie, která budovu nejen svou jižní fasádou otevře veřejnosti. Součástí návrhu je i obnova nejbližšího okolí. To je důležitý prvek zejména před galerií, kdy hlavní vstup je situován z nově navrženého parku, a před bistrem, které dává parku větší potenciál na oblíbenost mezi návštěvníky. V parku jsou zachovány fragmenty stáváních kolejí, které jsou použity i jako stínící prvek části nového vstupu, a odkazují tak na historii místa.

The subject of the diploma thesis is a revitalization of the former Malá Amerika warehouse, including the immediate surroundings, conversion into a social and cultural space. The revitalization of the wider area includes the area of the elevated railway and the access paths. This space is bounded by the facades of the surrounding buildings, on the eastern side by the edge of the railway. The aim of the project is to open the closed space to visitors and create a new point of interest in the restored location. The design respects and preserves the historical value of the building, new elements are evident and clearly recognizable. New production facilities will be located in the basement, which will use the potential of the space. A gallery is placed on the upper floors, which will open the building to the public not only with its southern facade. The design also includes the restoration of the immediate surroundings. This is an important element especially in front of the gallery, where the main entrance is located from the newly designed park, and in front of the bistro, which gives the park more potential for popularity among visitors. Fragments of the existing railway tracks are kept in the park, which are also used as a shading element of part of the new entrance, and thus refer to the history of the place.
