The master’s thesis discusses the design of a bridging of the Vltava in Praha Holešovice. The first section is focused on the study of the area of interest for the planned bridge construction. The first part of the thesis also focuses on the research into cable-stayed bridges, extradosed bridges, and the differences and similarities between them. Lastly, a couple of examples of those researched bridges are shown. A final version of the bridge design chosen in section one is designed, assessed, and analyzed in the second and third section of the thesis, including the substructure and foundation. The final section consists of a bridge bearing and bridge closure design. The bridge is designed as a cable-stayed structure constructed of 3 spans of 44+92+44 m. The bridge deck design consists of prefabricated concrete segments suspended from two steel-concrete composite pylons using two planes of stay cables.
