Teoretická část obsahuje rešerši technických a legislativních podkladů souvisejících s navrhováním vodovodů a stanovením potřeby vody. The subject of this thesis is the elaboration of a variant hydraulic design of a new water supply system for the cottage area "V Hlubokém" using mathematical modelling. The cottage area is located in the Central Bohemia region 10 km west of Prague. The area of interest consists of approximately 150 cottages. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part (literature search) and a practical part. The theoretical part contains a research of technical and legislative documents related to the design of water supply systems and determination of water demand. A substantial part of the theoretical part is devoted to hydraulics in water supply networks, where the basic principles of calculations are presented. Separate chapters deal with mathematical modelling and the EPANET software used. At the end of the theoretical part, the development and current state of cottage areas in the country is described and the problem of their drinking water supply is outlined. In the practical part, the locality of interest and the background materials used are first introduced. Next, the average water demand for one cottage is determined based on the evaluation of real data from already connected cottages in the wider surroundings of the study area. The actual design of the distribution network is developed in three variants using EPANET software and GIS tools. The results are presented in the thesis using colour maps and graphs. Finally, an indicative determination of investment costs and a comparison of the proposed variants is made.
