Využití metod point of care testing v praxi zdravotnického záchranáře

Abstract

Bakalářská práce pojednává o využití Point of care testing (POCT) metod, o jejich výhodách, nevýhodách a využitelnosti v praxi zdravotnického záchranáře. V úvodu práce jsou popsány vybrané přístroje a metody spadající do kategorie bedside monitoringu. Jsou to hlavně způsoby Point of care testing, které může provádět a vyhodnocovat zdravotnický záchranář – např.: měření glykemie pomocí glukometru. Závěr teoretické části je zaměřen na popis konkrétního využití POCT metod v praxi. Praktická část je zpracována pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu provedeného formou rozhovorů s pracovníky nemocnic, kteří mají vlastní zkušenosti s POCT metodami a přístroji. Tyto rozhovory jsou doplněné o pozorování jednotlivých technik. Následně jsou tyto poznatky porovnány s teoretickou částí práce. Tímto způsobem bylo zjištěno, jaké reálné výhody a přínosy POCT metody mají.

The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of Point of care testing methods, their advantages, disadvantages, and usability in the practice of paramedics. In the begging of the thesis. Firstly, the thesis describes specific devices and methods that fall into the category of bedside monitoring. They are mainly the methods of point of care testing that a paramedic can examinate and evaluate – e.g.: measuring blood glucose using a glucometer. The end of the theoretical part focuses on the description of the specific use of POCT methods in the practice of a paramedic. The practical part is processed using qualitative research conducted in the form of interviews with hospital staff, who have their own experiences with POCT methods and devices. These interviews are completed with observations of specific methods. Then these findings are compared with the theoretical part of the thesis. This research shows what advantages do these POCT methods really have.
