The aim of this diploma thesis is the design of energy saving measures of a shopping centre which also reduce its carbon footprint. The first part consists of the description of a carbon footprint, its composition and main contributors. Next part of this thesis describes the technical state of chosen shopping centre, its energy inputs and main electrical and heat energy consumers. Energy saving measures are presented and made into variants which are then evaluated from economic and environmental point of view. Those variants are subjected to sensitivity analysis on chosen input parameters at the end of the work.
