Webový GIS přírodních katastrof

Abstract

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou webové kartografie a GIS s aplikací na výskyt a důsledky přírodních katastrof ve světě. Teoretická část je věnována přehledu informací o existujících pramenech literatury a již zřízených databázích přírodních katastrof na internetu. Větší prostor je poskytnut databázi EM-DAT, která tvoří primární zdroj dat této práce. Důraz je taktéž kladen na princip geokódování, na němž stojí celý postup zpracování dat. Praktická část se zabývá dílčími částmi pracovního postupu od výčtu zdrojů dat, jejich struktury a zpracování přes proces vyhledávání adres či práce v ArcGIS Pro až po sdílení dat na ArcGIS Online a následnou tvorbu webové stránky přírodních katastrof.

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of applying web cartography and GIS to display the occurrence and impacts of natural disasters in the world. The theoretical part presents an overview of existing literature on the topic and a description of several established databases of natural disasters on the Internet. A special focus is put on the EM-DAT database, which is the primary data source for this work, and the geocoding process, the essential part of data processing. The practical part then describes the partial tasks of the entire workflow. First, the data sources are listed together with an overview of a data structure and necessary steps taken before data processing. Then the geocoding process of searching for addresses is put into practice and finally, the ArcGIS Pro workflow, data publishing to ArcGIS Online, and making of the final product are described at the end of this thesis.
