This thesis is focused on the analysis of the oxidation states of flavin in FAD-dependent oxidoreductase from \textit{Chaetomium thermophilum} as a dependency on the presence of a chemical reducing agent and absorbed radiation dose. In all \textit{Cht}FDO structures solved so far by protein crystallography methods, only the reduced state of flavin was observed. The bending of the isoalloxazine ring of flavin in the active site of each structure is analyzed and discussed. Structural analysis of the conformational changes of flavin under defined conditions shows that, in all likelihood, the fully oxidized state of FAD in this enzyme is structurally very close to the fully reduced state.
