Abstract

30. 9. 2007 zemřel v Kolíně nad Rýnem ve věku 81 let Oswald Mathias Ungers, muž, který ve druhé polovině 20. století svým dílem ovlivnil nejen německou, ale i mezinárodní architekturu. Jedná se o kritickou reflexi Ungersova díla na pozadí mé dlouholeté práce v jeho kanceláři a o důkladné studium jeho teorie a praxe na pozadí vývoje dějin architektury a umění.

30.9.2007 Oswald Mathias Ungers, a man who influenced not only German but also international architecture in the second half of the 20th century, died in Cologne at the age of 81. This is a critical reflection on Ungerˇs work against the backdrop of my years of work in his office and a thorough study of his theory and practice against cocurrent and predecessing developments in the history of architecture and art.
