Bakalářská práce se zabývá studiem historických artefaktů, konkrétně mincemi, keramikou a hliněnými úlomky. Zkoumány byly úlomky z misky a sloupu a několik mincí z území České republiky z 20. století spolu s mincí z Byzantské říše. Rozpoznány byly například sodík, chlor, dysprosium a mangan. The Bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of studying historical artefacts, specifically coins, ceramics and clay fragments. Fragments of a bowl and a clay pillar as well as coins from the territory of Czech republic from the 20th century together with a coin from the Byzantine empire were analyzed. For the purpose of achievent the set goal, qualitative and quantitative nondestructive neutron activation analysis was used. Irradiation was carried out in the VR-1 training reactor and subsequent measurement was performed in the neutron activation analysis laboratory using an HPGe detector. Calibration of the HPGe Canberra detector for geometries of 30 mm and 250 mm was carried out as well. An analysis of coins was, considering measurement errors and wear of the coins, in good agreement with available information regarding their composition. The most recognized metals were copper, nickel and zinc. Manganese was a common impurity. Minting from silver was confirmed in two of the coins. An analysis of the clay fragments did not reveal the presence of any unexpected elements. Sodium, chlorine, dysprosium and manganese were found. On the basis of previous studies and the experiments that were carried out, the workplace of the VR-1 training reactor is confirmed as suitable for study of historical artefacts.
