Abstract

Diplomová práce se zabývá tématem kulturní a diplomaDcké reprezentace České republiky v zahraničí, konkrétně na Taiwanu. Jedním z cílů je poukázat na důležitost kulturní výměny a zahraniční spolupráce. Místem návrhu je komplikovaná proluka ve čtvrti Wanhua, při ulici Guilin Road v Taipei. Navrhovaný objekt českého domu vychází z existujících typologií českých center či konzulátů. Dále pak zkoumá a rozvíjí význam této instituce, vztah k místu, atmosféru či míru reprezentace.

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of cultural and diplomatic representation of the Czech Republic abroad, specifically in Taiwan. One of the aims is to point out the importance of cultural exchange and foreign cooperation. The site of the design is a complicated urban gap in Wanhua District, at Guilin Road in Taipei. The proposed building of the “Czech house” is based on the existing typologies of Czech centres or consulates. It then examines and develops the meaning of this institution, the relationship to the place, the atmosphere or the degree of representation.
