Podle plánu Evropské unie a dalších světových velmocí má být první fúzní elektrárna uvedena do provozu do roku 2050. Klíčovými rysy budoucí fúzní energetiky jsou palivo z lehkých chemických prvků, vysoká pracovní teplota paliva a vysoký energetický tok. Tyto rysy implikují nevyčerpatelné a globálně dostupné zásoby paliva, vysoce ekologickou výrobu elektřiny s nulovými emisemi CO2, inherentní jadernou bezpečnost, recirkulaci výkonu ohřevu paliva, nízkou životnost jaderných komponent a vznik sekundárně aktivovaných radioaktivních odpadů. According to the plan of the European Union and other world powers, the first fusion power plant should be put into operation by 2050. The key features of future fusion energy, the light chemical elements fuelling, high fuel temperature, and high heat and neutron loading of the fusion reactors, imply inexhaustible and globally available fuel reserves, high ecological and CO2 emission-free electricity generation, inherent nuclear safety, heating power recirculation, low lifetime of nuclear components, and the generation of secondary activated radioactive waste. The environmental impact of fusion power plants will be comparable to the impact of renewable resources and, with the inclusion of external costs, fusion power plants can become one of the most economically advantageous energy sources. A specific feature of fusion power plants will be a fuel heating to high temperatures. The power recirculation will reduce the impact of the fuel heating on the output power of fusion power plants, and analytical equations describing the influence of the fuel heating including the recirculation on the net efficiency of power generation are derived. The experimental part describes the development of the prototype of radiation and temperature resistant Hall sensors for fusion power reactors. The prototype has been tested and subsequently approved for measuring a steady-state magnetic field of the ITER international fusion reactor.
