Tato práce shrnuje potřebnou teorii: výše uvedené jevy, Radiation pressure acceleration (RPA) a Target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA) mechanismy a popis PIC metody v kódu EPOCH. Dle dosažených výsledků síla reakce záření znatelně ovlivňuje urychlování iontů, např. pozměňuje energetická spektra protonů a proto nemůže být zanedbána v tomto typu simulací. | cze |
dc.description.abstract | The main goal of this thesis is theoretical study of ion acceleration during interaction of 10 PW laser (with parameters relevant for L4 ELI beamline) with a newly developed hydrogen solid target and polyethylene foil widely used in experiments for comparison. The plasma interaction with such high intensity laser beam leads to many interesting phenomena such as relativistic transparency or electron energy losses by radiation reaction force. The interaction is studied with the help of numerical 2D3V particle-in-cell (PIC) simulations including QED module calculating radiation reaction of electrons by Monte-Carlo (MC) approach. This thesis summarize relevant theory: the phenomena mentioned above, Radiation pressure acceleration (RPA) and Target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA) mechanisms and description of PIC method used in the EPOCH code. According to obtained results, radiation reaction force appreciably influences ion acceleration, e.g. alters the proton energy spectra and hence cannot be neglected in this type of simulations. Results also show differences in occurrence and efficiency of the acceleration mechanisms in considered targets. | eng |
