Poslední část práce obsahuje experimentální ověření teoretických předpokladů - vyhodnocení prahového výkonu - stimulovaného Brillouinova rozptylu a porovnání s výstupy simulačního softwaru a teorie. This work is focused on the study of nonlinear effects observed in optical fibers. First, the basic transmission characteristics of the optical fibers are described. The project then deals mainly with the study of nonlinear optics. Therefore the main mechanisms of nonlinear optics, such as stimulated Brillouin scattering, stimulated Raman scattering, self-phase modulation, cross-phase modulation and four wave mixing are described in details. The simulations for the effects of stimulated Brillouin scattering are illustrated in the second part of the work and the simulated values are compared to the theoretical ones. The last part contains the experimental verification of the theoretical hyphotheses, the evaluation of stimulated Brillouin scattering threshold power and the comparison of theory and the simulation software output.
