Humanistická role architektury v současné společnosti

Abstract

Práce se zabývá humanistickým rozměrem architektury a jeho významem pro současnou společnost. Řeší základní otázky: jaký je význam humanistické role architektury v současnosti a co způsobuje její absence, jaké vlastnosti architektury reprezentují její humanistický rozměr a jakými formami, procesy a nástroji lze humanistickou roli architektury naplňovat, přičemž důraz je zároveň kladen na postavení profese architekta v tomto procesu. Propojuje obecnou rovinu tématu humanistické role architektury s příklady jejího naplnění či absence na konkrétních příkladech současného vystavěného prostředí. Humanistický rozměr architektury nachází ve vlastnostech přesahujících její utilitární a technický rozměr, jako je komunikační schopnost architektury, ztělesnění a artikulace společenského a kulturního kontextu, etická funkce, reprezentační a symbolická role, obytná či estetická kvalita. Formátem práce je soubor publikovaných prací doplněný integrujícím textem. Integrující text uvozuje soubor esejů a definuje jejich společný rámec. Zabývá se problematikou humanistické role architektury v současné společnosti v obecné rovině. Jednotlivé eseje potom ukazují daná témata kromě obecné roviny také na konkrétních příkladech. Zabývají se vlastnostmi a projevy vystavěného prostředí z hlediska jejich vlivu na život společnosti a jednotlivce. Zároveň zkoumají jejich vztah k procesu vzniku vystavěného prostředí, zejména v rovině architektonické tvorby, ale současně i dalších společenských rámců, které tuto tvorbu významně ovlivňují, či determinují. Zkoumají tyto skutečnosti na konkrétních příkladech vystavěného prostředí a to zejména se zřetelem na absenci či naopak naplnění humanistického rozměru. The work deals with the humanistic dimension of architecture and its value in contemporary society. Follows up the fundamental questions: what is the meaning of humanist role of architecture today and what causes its absence, what qualities of architecture represent its humanist dimension and which forms, processes and tools can fulfill the humanist role of architecture. The emphasis is also placed on the standing of the profession of architect in this process. General theme of humanist role of architecture is connected with examples of its fulfillment or lack in concrete examples of the current built environment. Humanist dimension of architecture is defined in the properties beyond its utilitarian and technical dimension, such as communication ability of architecture, embodiment and articulation of the social and cultural context, ethical function, representational and symbolic role, living and aesthetic quality. The format of works is an ensemble of published works accompanied by integrating text. Integrating text file introducing essays and defines their common framework. It deals with issues humanist role of architecture in contemporary society in general. Individual essays then show these topics in addition to general levels also in concrete examples. Dealing with features and expressions of the built environment in terms of their impact on the life of society and the individual.
